BURNING BOOKS is an "artist-run, weirdness-driven" organization dedicated to the production and publication of unmuzzled literature, music, and art. It was founded by writer/editor Melody Sumner Carnahan and artist/designer Michael Sumner in Oakland, California, in 1979.
